On September 28, 2021 SunnyLand’s patent application for “Chemo-enzymatic site-specific modification of peptides and proteins to form cleavable conjugates” was approved.

Professor Zhou Discusses Protein's Role in Aging in an Interview

Sunnyland Lab Professor, Sunny Zhou, after being given $1 million dollars to study the etiologic role of isoaspartic acid, or isoAsp in aging and discusses results he has found from this research. Zhou also goes into detail about the significance of finding methods to lower isoaspartic acid levels in cells which can lead to developing better treatments for diseases such as Alzheimer’s.

Professor Zhou Speaks at CHI's 3rd Annual Conference

On August 27 2020, Professor Zhou was an invited panelist at Cambridge Health-tech Institute’s 3rd Annual Detection, Characterization and Control of Impurities in Biologics Conference, this year’s hot topic being “Emerging Contaminants and Impurities, Case Studies and New Technologies”.
